We have been given a chance to promote positive, conservative change with a unified government. I have been working on legislation that will promote jobs for hardworking families in South Carolina's Second Congressional District. Here is the legislation I've introduced this year: 

Protecting American Families Retirement Act

  • Delays the implementation of the job-killing fiduciary rule for two years
  • Gives the Trump Administration and Congress time to re-evaluate this harmful regulation

The Sensible Nuclear Waste Disposition Act

H.R. 433

  • Focuses our national nuclear waste strategy and ensures good use of taxpayer dollars
  • Incentivizes the Department of Energy to complete the Yucca Mountain license application

The SPY Car Study Act of 2017

  • Directs government partners and private auto manufacturers to conduct a study on the security and privacy in motor vehicles
  • Bi-partisan legislation that protects American families from hackers taking control of their car

Condemning North Korea’s development of multiple intercontinental ballistic missiles

Military Surviving Spouses Equity Act

H.R. 846

  • Ends the “widow’s tax,” a dollar-for-dollar offset of payments between the SBP and DIC program
  • Supports surviving spouses and dependent children of service members and retirees who sacrificed their lives for our nation

Cyberattack Standards of Measurement Study

  • Requires the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to carry out studies to determine appropriate standards and measure the damage of cyber incidents, the response, and to quantify the damage to affected computers, devices, etc.
