Last week, Rep. Joe Wilson, R-SC, with the support of the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS) and the National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS), two very prominent organizations representing 500,000 National Guard members, unveiled new legislation, H.R. 4676, which would allow National Guard and Reserve members who have served 20 years or more to be able to begin to draw their retired pay immediately upon retirement.

Today, Rep. Joe Wilson, R-SC made the following remarks in response to a vote by Sen. Ernest Hollings, D-SC, against passage of S. Amdt. 3389, a resolution saying that the United States and Israel were “engaged in a common struggle against terrorism,” and condemned Palestinian suicide bombings. Sen. Hollings and Sen. Robert Byrd, D-WV, were the only two votes against passage of the resolution.

Olympic Medalist Chris Klug Joins U.S. Reps. Inslee and Wilson
Today, Rep. Joe Wilson, R-SC and Rep. Jay Inslee, D-WA introduced the "Floyd D. Spence Organ Coordination Improvement Act" at an event at the U.S. Capitol. Joining them was Chris Klug, who underwent a liver transplant in 2000 and went on to win a bronze medal for snowboarding in Men's Parallel Giant Slalom in the 2002 Winter Olympics.
