Columbia Resident Earl F. Brown, Jr. Promoted to Deputy District Director

Today, Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) announced the promotion of Earl F. Brown, Jr., a Columbia resident, to Deputy District Director of the Second Congressional District of South Carolina. Mr. Brown, who previously served as Special Assistant to Rep. Wilson, will continue to work from the Midlands Congressional Office located at 1700 Sunset Boulevard in West Colombia, S.C. As Deputy District Director, Mr. Brown will work directly with District Director Mary Howard, a Lexington resident, to manage district office staff and represent Rep. Wilson at public events throughout the district. Also, he will continue to oversee the Second Congressional District Minority Advisory Committees."I am so proud of Earl and the work he has done on behalf of the people of South Carolina," said Rep. Wilson. "He is a rare individual who is dedicated to public service and works hard with passion, integrity and boundless energy. Earl has a proven track record as a manager, successfully setting and achieving goals. He is a natural motivator and we are fortunate to have him." Prior to his work with Rep. Wilson, Mr. Brown served as Executive Assistant to the Commissioner for External Affairs at the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission, where he began working in 1973. A graduate of Savannah State College, Benedict College and University of South Carolina's Criminal Justice Masters Program, he has served in the U.S. Army and worked as a public school teacher.###
