CONGRESSMAN WILSON CALLS FOR EXPANDED INTERNET ACCESS FOR UNDERSERVED AREAS
On June 3, Congressman Joe Wilson released the following statement on leading a letter with Majority Whip James E. Clyburn along with the rest of the South Carolina Delegation calling for robust measures to expand internet access to address strains caused by the coronavirus pandemic:
“I am grateful to co-lead a letter to House and Senate leadership calling on them to expand affordable, high-speed internet access in underserved areas.
“During these times when many of us must stay at home, internet access is more important than ever. People in these areas should still have the ability to learn, talk to their doctors, and do their jobs remotely.”
