CONGRESSMAN WILSON STATEMENT ON MOLDOVA ELECTION

Today, Congressman Joe Wilson released the following statement:

"Americans are grateful that Sunday's snap parliamentary elections in Moldova were, on the whole, conducted freely and fairly. There is hope that the incoming parliament will mark a new chapter for Moldova and a new government committed to the rule of law, European integration, and faithfully addressing the needs of the people of Moldova. There is hard work to be done to root out a long legacy of corruption, even with a government committed to this vision. But rest assured that the United States will continue to support Moldova as it looks toward a brighter, more prosperous future."
