NFIB Names Wilson a Guardian of Small Business

September 24, 2010

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation's leading small business association, named Congressman Joe Wilson (SC-02) a Guardian of Small Business for his outstanding voting record on behalf of America's small business owners in the 111th Congress.

NFIB President and CEO Dan Danner praised Congressman Wilson for "standing up for small business." In announcing the winners of the coveted Guardian of Small Business award, Danner said: "In the 111th Congress, Congressman Joe Wilson proved that he is a champion of small business. The Guardian of Small Business Award is a token of deep appreciation that small business owners have for elected officials who promote and protect their right to own, operate, and grown their businesses."

Accepting the award, Wilson added: "I am honored to receive the Guardian of Small Business award from the nation's voice of small business. NFIB's work to create long-term private sector jobs and protect small business owners in South Carolina is appreciated by hardworking residents across our great state," said Congressman Joe Wilson.
