Wilson Commends President’s Commitment to Winning the War on Terror
Congressman Joe Wilson (SC-02), member of the House Committee on International Relations, today commended President George W. Bush for his continued commitment to winning the War on Terror and protecting American families. President Bush today released his updated National Strategy For Combating Terrorism (NSCT).
“In the face of continuing terrorist threats and hostilities toward the Western way of life, President Bush remains committed to staying the course and protecting American families. President Bush believes, as do I, that we must face the enemy abroad so we do not face them on our homeland.
“President Bush today laid out the United States’ strategy for defeating al-Qaeda and making the world safe for democracy. I share the President’s belief that the advancement of freedom and democracy is the key to eradicating extremism.
“While some disagree with the President and would choose instead to pacify this brutal enemy, I believe the majority of Americans understand the importance of maintaining our resolve to defeating terrorism.”
