Wilson: D.C. Mail Suspended, Please Fax or Email
February 3, 2004
Today, Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC) asked that people trying to contact the Second Congressional District's Washington Office to email, fax, or mail their correspondence to District Offices. Earlier in the day, the U.S. House of Representatives announced that all mail pick-up and delivery will be suspended indefinitely in light of the recent identification of Ricin in U.S. Senate offices."Although the amount of Ricin found on the Senate side has been small and has not hurt anyone, as a safety precaution Congress has decided to suspend mail services," said Congressman Wilson. "Until further notice, anyone trying to correspond with the Washington, D.C. office should do so by email, fax, or mail to our District Offices. We will work hard to make sure that everyone receives a response in a timely manner."Email: Joe.Wilson@mail.house.govFax: (202)225-2455Mailing Addresses for District Offices: Lowcountry Office 903 Port Republic StreetBeaufort, S.C. 22901The Midlands Office PO Box 7381 Columbia, SC 29202 ###
