Wilson Statement on McTeer Bridge

Congressman Joe Wilson (SC-02) today released the following statement regarding the J. E. McTeer Bridge closure in Beaufort, South Carolina:

“I am aware of the problems Beaufort County residents are experiencing due to the closure of McTeer Bridge. I appreciate Governor Mark Sanford’s response, and I look forward to working with Senators DeMint and Graham to rectify the situation as soon as possible.

“I have contacted the U.S. Coast Guard and the Federal Emergency Management Agency to seek their help and guidance. I am hopeful normalcy will soon resume for Beaufort County residents and commuters.”
