Wilson Thanks Sam Johnson For Invaluable Service to America

Today, Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) joined in honoring Rep. Sam Johnson (R-TX), a Vietnam veteran and former POW who spent almost 7 years in captivity. Rep. Wilson is an original co-sponsor of H. Res. 62, which recognizes the courage and sacrifice of those members of the United States Armed Forces who were held as prisoners of war during the Vietnam conflict and calls for a full accounting of the 1,902 members of the Armed Forces who remain unaccounted for from the Vietnam conflict. Rep. Wilson made the following remarks on the House floor:"Mr. Speaker, as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Congressman Sam Johnson's return from Vietnam after nearly seven years of brutal captivity, I am confident his courageous example will serve as inspiration to our pilots preparing for possible attacks against Saddam Hussein," said Rep.
