Wilson Votes to Enable America’s Job Creators to Hire More Workers
October 27, 2011
Congressman Joe Wilson (SC-02) issued the following statement after the House of Representative voted to repeal H.R. 674, the 3 percent withholding tax aimed to be implemented in January of 2013:
"I am proud to see the House of Representatives making bi-partisan efforts to remove barriers that hurt America's job creators. This legislation repeals the 3% withholding tax on businesses that provide services to federal, state and local governments. The tax would only lead to more uncertainty for small businesses that are already facing a tough economic climate. By repealing this tax, American job creators will now have more money to hire workers and expand their businesses."
