Wilson Will Return Salary in the Event of a Government Shutdown

Congressman Joe Wilson (SC-02) released the following statement after announcing he will return his Congressional salary accrued in the event of a potential federal government shutdown:

"As long as the federal government remains shutdown, I will not accept my compensation and will return my salary back to the Treasury Department. Our brave men and women fighting in harm's way are going without compensation – Members of Congress should do the same."
