Wilson Denounces ICC Warrants for Israeli Officials

Washington, DC - Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia, Congressman Joe Wilson issued the following statement regarding the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) arrest warrants for Israeli officials:

     “The International Criminal Court’s decision to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant is despicable and an affront to Israel, as it continues to defend itself in the face of the horrific terrorist attacks of Hamas. 

     “Long an anti-semitic organization, the ICC again ignores the facts and must be sanctioned, which is why I co-sponsored the Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act to sanction the ICC to protect Americans. 

     “With the leadership of Congresswoman Elise Stefanik and President-elect Donald Trump we will stop the rabid witch hunt against Israel and its right to exist. The United States stands with Israel.”
