Wilson Statement on Iranian Attack on Israel

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC) issued the following statement today:

     "The Biden administration’s failed policy of appeasement toward the regime that pledges “death to America, death to Israel” has emboldened Tehran to launch Shaheed drones, and potentially missiles, directly from Iran.

     "The same drones Iranian regime is supplying to and producing with Russia to murder innocent Ukrainians are en route to Israel right now, threatening Israeli civilians.

     "Iranian regime puppets have attacked U.S. troops in the region 150 times since its barbaric October 7th attack on Israel, including the attack that killed three courageous young American service-members.

     "May God bless our brave troops in the region working to shield families and protect our interests and allies.

     "Dictators respond to deterrence, not diplomacy.

     "As Chairman of House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia, I will be holding a joint hearing Wednesday with Congressman Tom Kean (R-NJ)  on Iranian-Russian collaboration in their shared goal of death and destruction.

     "My prayers are with the people of Israel. All sanctions, especially snapback, must be reinstated and enforced to stop the mass proliferation of suicide drones and missiles to terrorists and dictators."
