On October 4, we recognized National Manufacturing Day and the importance of manufacturing in the United States. Manufacturing is also a major economic driver in South Carolina, with $33.89 billion in manufactured goods exports in 2018, I am thankful for the jobs created.
The United States maintains the strongest military in the world. Our freedoms, our liberties, and the greatness of this country are secured by the brave men and women who sign up to serve. We must honor the sacrifices these men and women make when they lay down their lives for their country.
It is an honor and a privilege to represent the servicemembers and veterans of South Carolina's Second Congressional District this Memorial Day. The Midlands are known as the "The Most Military Friendly Community in America" which is something our communities take pride in owning. We have 417,515 Veterans in South Carolina with many living in the Midlands.
I am humbled and inspired to serve you in Congress. Above all, I want to make sure you and your family know that the office and I are here to serve you.
