Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) reintroduced companion legislation in the U.S. Senate.

Washington, DC – U.S. Helsinki Chairman Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC) and Ranking Member Congressman Steve Cohen (D-TN) introduced the Freedom First Lend-Lease Acttoday. The Act cuts red tape to provide President Trump with flexible authorities to lend or lease military equipment to allies and partners in Eastern Europe to deter Russian invasion and provides massive leverage as he works to end this invasion responsibly.

Washington, DC – U.S. Helsinki Chairman Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC) and Ranking Member Congressman Steve Cohen (D-TN) introduced the Georgian Nightmare Non-Recognition Act today. The bill (HR-243) will prohibit the United States from recognizing the Ivanishvili regime and recognize President Salome Zourabichvili as the legitimate President of Georgia until such a time as free and fair elections are held in the country of Georgia.

Washington, DC – On Saturday, President Biden signed into law S. 4367, the Thomas R. Carper Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) of 2024. This bill includes language (Section 1315) which authorizes a full repair of the New Savannah Bluff Lock and Dam and requires the pool level to be maintained at 114.5 feet.
