Washington, D.C.Congressmen Joe Wilson (R-SC) and Steve Cohen (D-TN), the Ranking Member and Co-Chairman of the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, also known as the Helsinki Commission, introduced a resolution making the finding that, in light of Russia's unprovoked invasion of and ongoing war against Ukraine, Russia's presence on the United Nations Security Council ‘violates the purposes and principles of the United Nations.'

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Monday, December 12, at 3 PM ET, Reps. Joe Wilson, Ruben Gallego, Salud Carbajal, Sara Jacobs, and Seth Moulton will hold a virtual press conference to discuss the congressional delegation to Ukraine they led over the weekend.

The delegation first traveled to Poland, where they met with U.S. troops deployed to the region, and then to Ukraine, where they met with members of the Ukrainian government in Kyiv.

A companion measure led by Senators Roger Wicker (R-MS), and Ben Cardin (D-MD), was also introduced in the U.S.
