Founded in 1983, this visionary nonprofit organization responded to President Ronald Reagan’s call in 1982 that ‘we must be staunch in our conviction that freedom is not the sole prerogative of a lucky few but the inalienable and universal right of all human beings,’” said Congressman Wilson.

Today, Congressman Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) announced he is seeking an explanation from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) on funding shortages for projects on Hunting Island State Park, S.C. Recently, USACE informed Congressman Wilson that Section 206 ecosystem restoration projects in South Carolina’s Charleston District, which includes Beaufort County, will be suspended because funds have run out.
